Young pan stars shine at Junior Panorama

Hundreds of young people from around the country gathered in the Queen’s Park Savannah on Sunday January 31 to compete in the Junior Panorama competition.

Schools and bands took part in the competition, playing a range of compositions.

In the 21 and Under Category BP Renegades Youth Steel Orchestra scored a hat trick with David Rudder’s Calypso Music, beating CAL Invaders into second place.

In the Primary School category, first time entrants Tacarigua Presbyterian took the first place with Destra’s Max it Up.

And in the Secondary School category, St. Joseph’s Convent St. Joseph came out on top with Lord Kitchener’s Guitar Pan.
