Carols by Candlelight 2015

The Ministry in collaboration with the Carols by Candlelight Committee hosted Carols by Candlelight 2015 featuring the National Steel Symphony Orchestra (NSSO) at the Botanical Gardens. The tradition of caroling by candlelight began in Australia in the nineteenth century to keep the spirituality of Christmas and to bring good cheer to the young and old in the community. Carols by Candlelight was first introduced in Trinidad thirty three (33) years ago in 1982 by Mr. Bruce McLeod, an Australian, and Dr. Ralph Hoyte, a Trinidad and Tobago national. Each year, this concert becomes more popular and now has a large patronage of over one thousand persons. This year patrons enjoyed performances by Lletesha Sylvester, Adrian Kong, UWI Arts Chorale, Kenwyn Hutcheon, Trebles Choir and Amantes De Paranda.
