Mentoring by the Masters 2019 – Apply Today!
The Mentoring by the Masters program was launched in 2012, as part of the Culture Division’s observance of Trinidad and Tobago’s 50th Anniversary of Independence. The programme creates a space for knowledge transfer from senior, accomplished artists and cultural workers (the ‘Mentors’), to up-and-coming peers in their respective fields.
Since its inception in 2012, approximately 553 participants have been mentored by 30 mentors. 2019 will see the 7th installment of this flagship initiative with the following mentors:
•Barbara Jenkins – Life Writing: Your Story; Your Voice
•Gillian Bishop – Contemporary Jewellery Design
•Nancy Herrera– The Art and Practice of Caribbean Classical Ballet
•Raymond Choo Kong – Self Development through the Theatre Arts
•Dr. Satnarine Balkaransingh – Indian Dance in the Contemporary Caribbean
