45 Years ago, people across the country tuned into Radio Trinidad to listen to the first commissioned radio drama serial. Calabash Alley went on air in November 2, 1970 and electrified the nation with its portrayal of life in Trinidad.

The Culture Division is so excited to be connecting young actors of the National Theatre Arts Company with the classic work of Calabash Alley written by Freddie Kissoon. He has given us a legacy of local theatrical work that tells our stories while staying true to who we are, our flaws, our strengths and of course our sense of humour.

NTACTT cast and crew staged a brilliant ‘informance’ at Trinidad Theatre Workshop on Thursday 23, 2015 which served as the pre-launch to their 2015 season. This coming weekend, Calabash Alley moves to the Naparima Bowl, San Fernando for four nights.

Tickets are available at the Naparima Bowl Box Office from 9am on all show days. For more information call 388-5866.
